🌸Brooklyn Botanic Garden 04/26/19🌸 April 29, 2019
Group left NYEA shortly after 10 a.m. and headed to the 2/3 line on Wall St. via Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn. Upon arriving, we decided to wait for the rest of the group. It turned out that the main entrance was closed, so we met at the parking lot entrance just around the block.
After entering the garden, we were amazed by how many cherry blossoms there were in full bloom, not to mention how crowded it was! We then headed towards the Conservatory, where there was a bonsai tree exhibition, artwork on the roots of plants and trees on the walls, as well as an aquatic room, tropical, rain forest and desert zones.
When we left, it started to rain pretty heavily. Despite this, we used our umbrellas and strolled towards the Japanese Garden seeking shelter in the pagoda. We then circled around the large pond once the rain let up somewhat and then walked back towards the gift shop where we all shared our amazing photos.

On Friday, our students watched Minority Report.
Field Trip to NYC Robotics Competition (04/05/2019) April 8, 2019
Group of three students and our Level 3 teacher David left school shortly after noon and took the A train uptown via Washington Heights to West 168th St. One we arrived, we walked a short distance to the local armory where the robotics competition was being
held.
Once inside, we had the opportunity to view the different types of robotic technology offered by NYC K-12 schools broken into four robotic leagues using advanced engineering equipment.
Different activities were offered inside the armory and there were spectators in the stands as well checking out the movements of the swift robotic vehicles performing their unique tasks.
Macy’s Flower show 03/29/2019 April 2, 2019
Group left school shortly after noon and took the 2/3 line to Penn Station. After arriving at the station, Macy’s was just two blocks away and we made our way towards the store.
Once inside, we immediately noticed what Macy’s had to offer, namely the annual Flower Show. The theme for this year is space and science fiction. The entire store was bedecked with floral arrangements, including a makeshift Venus fly trap, spaceships and space creatures.
After taking some memorable photographs, some of us made our way to nearby Korea town and had some lunch at a Korean food court.
