Hollywood meets NYC
July 31, 2012
Here at PC TECH, we’ve been making the most of the summer. There is so much to see and do in NYC and we want to make sure our students experience as much as they can!
One of the things that makes New York City so special is the fact that you can learn and have a good time — wherever you go. This week, we’ll be taking a trip that will highlight some of the locations of some of Hollywood’s most famous films.
Join us this Friday on a cycling trip around New York’s Central Park. We will be going on a 2 hr bike ride as we visit some of the places where many famous movies have been filmed. The trip is $12 for two hours and will include a bicycle and helmet. Friday, August 3rd – we will be leaving from PC TECH at 11:30AM. Please wear comfortable clothing!
If you are interested in joining us, please inform your teacher by August 2nd.
What could be better than spending a beautiful Friday afternoon practicing English and riding through the park with friends? Join us!
St. John The Divine
July 19, 2012
As per usual, PC TECH will be making it’s weekly outing tomorrow morning.
You may be wondering where we will be heading to with the rainy NYC weather forecast, and the answer is, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Come join us on this relaxing trip. Let’s learn some English while staying indoors and enjoying the beautiful architecture.
If you are interested, we will be leaving from the school at 10:30AM!
Visit Lincoln Center
July 13, 2012
If you enjoy music, photography, dance – or just a peaceful place to relax – take a short ride on the 1 train to Lincoln Center at 66th and Broadway. You will find the home of the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, the Juilliard School of Music, and just a nice place to hand out with a snack and some coffee on the plaza.
With this beautiful summer weather, it is hard not to think about all the great things we could be doing outdoors. After all, this is New York City– there’s an exciting event around every corner!
If you’re looking for something to do on a Monday afternoon, why not watch a movie at HBO’s Bryant Park Summer Film Festival? Every Monday through August 20th, you can sit on the park lawn and enjoy a free flick under the stars.
The movies begin at 5:00PM, every Monday. So if you feel like making the most of the beautiful summer evening weather, head on over to the park after class. It’s only a 3 minute walk down the block!
