Field Trip to: Fraunces Tavern, Friday, March 3rd, 2017

Our most recent Friday field trip was to Fraunces Tavern, a landmark museum and restaurant right here in the Financial District. The tavern was incredibly important during the American revolution, serving as George Washington’s headquarters throughout the war and after. Today, the second and third floors serve as a museum housing art and artifacts from its Revolutionary War days. On the ground floor is a huge restaurant and bar where we enjoyed a delicious lunch and interesting conversation. Overall, Fraunces Tavern is a great place to visit to experience history and to sample some of the great cuisine available right here in our own backyard. We’ll definitely go back in the future!
