Field Trip to- Pio Pio Peruvian Restaurant (Friday, February 24th)

This past Friday we were lucky enough to embark on another student lead field trip. Jose Zaphra, in level 5, organized a trip to Pio Pio, a Peruvian restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen. Once again, the student lead field trip was a great success, with a record number of students joining in on the trip. We took up a huge table in the back of stylishly designed restaurant and tried many different Peruvian dishes. Although Pio Pio is known for its chicken, the restaurant also serves delicious steak dishes, seafood, and yes, cocktails made with pisco, a traditional Peruvian brandy. Many students tried arroz chaufa, a Peruvian fried rice similar to Chinese fried rice. Overall, our trip to Pio Pio was great and made us all very excited for future student lead field trips.
