This past Friday we took our students to the well-known Brooklyn Brewery in Williamsburg for happy hour. The brewery, which was founded in 1988, makes several unique beers right on sight. Our students enjoyed seeing where the beer is made and of course, sampling some of the brews available on tap in the tasting room. The happy hour deal is unbeatable- 5 beers for $20! We had a great time relaxing and chatting after a long week of classes! The set-up of the tasting room is super laid-back. Large picnic tables fill the room, and while hot food is not served in the brewery itself, a truck selling delicious New York pizza was parked right outside. While it’s always fun to visit museums and other famous New York landmarks, sometimes it’s nice to just sit down, relax, and spend some quality time socializing and getting to know each other. The Brooklyn Brewery is definitely a place we’ll visit again in the future!
