Field Trip to the Brooklyn Bridge/ Brooklyn Bridge Park (Friday, April 28th, 2017)

After a cool and rainy start to spring, New York finally experienced some nice weather last week. Luckily for our students at NYEA, the sun was shining for our field trip to the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge Park. The Brooklyn Bridge, built in 1870 and spanning the East River, is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Today, the bridge is a popular attraction for its incredible views of the Manhattan skyline. After taking our time to walk across the bridge, we headed to the Brooklyn Bridge Park where students enjoyed some ice cream, while others just sat by the river and soaked up the sunshine. All in all, it was a relaxing and enjoyable field trip that made us more excited for summer in the city!
