Last Friday, NYEA student Phuong lead the week’s field trip to Vietnamese restaurant, Cong Ly. We walked to the restaurant, located at 124 Hester Street in Chinatown, and enjoyed some delicious Vietnamese cuisine including Vietnamese coffee, tea, fried spring rolls, garden rolls, pork vermicelli with fish sauce and vegetables, beef pho, lettuce shrimp wraps, and seafood soup. For many of the students, it was their first time trying the Southeast Asian country’s cuisine and everyone enjoyed it very much! It’s been really great to have some of our students lead the field trips and introduce their country’s culture to the NYEA community. We look forward to learning more from our students in the future!
