Having heard about the Museum of Illusions, a trendy new pop-up museum in Manhattan, NYEA students decided to check it out on our most recent field trip. The group left NYEA shortly after 1:30 and walked to Fulton St. to catch the uptown A train to 14th Street.
The museum was two blocks away from the station. Once inside, we checked out all it had to offer, including optical illusions, rooms that made you look bigger or smaller, rooms that made you feel that you were moving, nonexistent tunnels, matching faces, kaleidoscopes, mirrors creating doubles or more, etc. After some time, we headed to nearby Chelsea Market to get a bite to eat before heading home.
